Protein In Dog Food

Protein is a nutrient your dog needs to grow and stay healthy. Protein can be found in all cells of body & is a major structural component to help keep your dog healthy. The essential amino acids your dog gets from protein contribute to healthy hair and skin, muscle development, tissue repair and helps to support their immune system

Depending on the age and activity level of your pet, protein needs will vary. Those animals that work very hard e.g hunting dogs, sled dogs, search and rescue dogs, etc. every day require a much greater amount of protein than a dog who doesn’t get much exercise.

It is important that you feed the right diet for your dog throughout their life, as nutritional requirements can be different for many reasons, such as age, activity levels and breed-specific needs. Please check with your vet about your dog’s nutritional requirements in regards to their age, breed and activity level.
